Because you are human, your needs are complex. If you are here looking for help with your nutrition, you probably have multiple complicated medical issues also. You will not fit into a premade formula or menu plan.

 

So, I listen carefully before I offer suggestions that meet your own life needs. It is all personal.

 

I have grown a specialty treating people with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which is a (complex) condition involving hypermobility and collagen deficiency. It often comes with Dysautonomia (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Orthostatic Intolerance) and with Mast Cell Activation Disease. It almost always brings frustrating digestive symptoms.

 

Springing from that specialty is facility with most other gastroenterology issues and food allergies/sensitivities. Again, no formula. We start where you are.

 

And if you are using a GLP-1 agonist for weight loss or inflammation treatment in the context of EDS, I would love to help you navigate the physical and emotional changes that come with that injection!

 

I listen well because I have a long background in counseling. I do not do CBT; I’m more Jungian. The Masters of Science degree in food and nutrition came later.

 

I am a member of the Diet and Nutrition Working Group of the Ehlers Danlos Society Consortium where we support and pursue education, awareness, and research around connective tissue diseases. I am a frequent speaker for the EDS Society at conferences and educational events.

 

I live in Western Massachusetts (USA), deep in the woods where the changing seasons surround and feed me and the internet access is surprisingly good.
